PROGRAMME NOTE:
Three Ostinato Preludes was composed especially for the M. K. Čiurlionis International Piano Competition. This work features some composition principles (such as permanent rhythmical and harmonic ostinatos) of music by this famous Lithuanian classical composer M.K.Čiurlionis. The piece consists of three short contrastive movements. Every movement is based on different harmonic interval: minor second, minor third and major third.
