ACTIVITIES

Raminta Šerkšnytė is a composer, pianist, lecturer and teacher.

Her creative output ranges from large-scale compositions (opera, oratorio), multimedia projects, orchestral works to chamber compositions, vocal and choral music, pieces for young audience, children and incidental music.

Raminta Šerkšnytė professionally studied piano for many years; currently she is performing her own music.

Raminta Šerkšnytė is Associate Professor of Composition at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She is also giving private composition lessons (also via Skype), teaching at the international composers’ masterclasses and is engaged in the work of jury at the composers’ competitions.

Raminta Šerkšnytė is also envolved in the educational projects, giving lectures about creativity and art of composition for pupils, students and adults.

Her main interests are psychology, Oriental philosophy and active free time.

Raminta Šerkšnytė lives and works in Vilnius, Lithuania.
